A strong scene gives agents, managers, and casting professionals a chance to see your presence, choices, listening, and connection with another actor. If you’re still building credits—or your existing footage no longer represents you—Reel Magic gives you an opportunity to create material that reflects the actor you are today.

Reel Magic brings acting coaching and professional filmmaking together.
You’ll work with Meg Deusner, acting coach and casting director, and professional filmmakers to create a scene for your reel. We focus on truthful performances, thoughtful camera work, lighting, clear sound, and editing that supports the story.
The goal is footage that draws the viewer into the scene and lets your acting shine.
What’s included
A scene selected for you: Material chosen to highlight your strengths and give you something meaningful to play.
On-set coaching: Guidance from Meg to help you make specific choices, connect with your scene partner, and bring the scene to life.
Professional filming: A filmmaking team capturing your performance with care and attention to production quality.
An edited scene for your reel: Finished footage you can use to showcase your work.
Two hours on set. Footage you can keep using.
You don’t need to set aside the whole weekend. Your filming commitment is one two-hour session on either Friday or Saturday, with scene preparation and memorization completed beforehand.
For families with Friday off from school, it’s a great opportunity to spend part of the day creating something that supports your actor’s goals.
